The National Indigenous Training Employment Solutions (NITES) is 100% Indigenous owned and operated and is Supply Nation certified.  NITES specialises in creating modern, exciting and innovating training, mentoring and leadership programmes – achieving great success in delivering courses in locations across Australia.  NITES uses flexible models to enable people from a wide range of backgrounds undertake comprehensive programmes.

 

 

NITES Objectives:

 

  1. To provide education, training and employment opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with little or no experience in the workforce;

  2. To provide education and training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  school students to obtain nationally recognised qualifications, increase retention rates and create employment pathways

  3. To encourage industry growth and development through industry specific skills enhancement of the next generation of workers;

  4. To provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  youth and unemployed with pathways out of welfare dependence;

  5. To provide a better understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  affairs to the public and private sector; and

  6. To assist the public and private sectors to in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  individuals and communities.

 

The Vision

 

  • To be recognised as an facilitator of choice for organizations to utilize for recruitment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  people

 

  • To provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  people with the right tools and attributes they need to secure employment:

 

  • To provide both public and private sector organisations with good understanding and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  culture, customs and traditions to be able to work along side Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  colleagues.

 

  • To provide both public and private sector organisations with techniques to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  communities and individuals. 

 

To assist in bridging the gap NITES have designed and developed numerous models and program to engage and to assit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People such as:

 

  • Cultural Appreciation Training

  • Pre-Employment Training

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traineeship Programs

  • School Based Traineeship Programs

  • Mentoring Programs

  • Leadership Programs

  • Sport,Recreational, Healthy and Active Living Programs

Our mission is to serve the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community by building capabilities through leadership, mentoring and personal professional development.  In addition, we aim to transform the way the public and private sector interact and view Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by building cultural capability, accountability and social inclusion through specialised strategic approaches.

Clinton Scott-Knight 

Darren Knight

Brothers Clinton Scott-Knight and Darren Knight are Wiradjuri/Ngunnawal men and are the Managing Directors. 

 

We are passionate about our culture, leadership and education. We welcome close relationships with corporate, government and the wider community.

 

We have over 30 years combined experience in Aboriginal affairs holding several senior management positions at national, state and community levels in both public and private sectors. 

  

We pride ourselves on having the ability to design and implement programs that are relevant for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and have been recognised in doing so, winning multiple awards.
