NITES Cultural Appreciation Training is a foundational e-learning course which consists of 5 modules:

 

• Truth telling

• Big power movements

• Torres Strait Islander culture

• Solution based thinking (current issues)

• Essential information for the workplace

 

It is designed to give participants an appreciation and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, customs, cultures and traditions.

 

The course is targeted to everyone, but in particular workplaces who are striving to create culturally safe environments: It is suitable for staff of all levels; and people who work with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and programs.
