About the Event
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership program is a 2 day training course which will take participants on a journey where we will unpack leadership and unlock the power that takes to influence people towards goals. We will explore leadership theories through a cultural lens and identify how to give to the situation what the situation needs.
We will go back in time to identify and understand the origins of cultural leadership frameworks and how they governed ever aspect of our lives. We will also explore how this way of life was heavily impacted by foreign influences and how leadership models had to change.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and critique some of our most charismatic and transformational leaders as well as tackling modern complex leadership issues such as disparities, disadvantage, constitutional recognition and treaty’s. We will understand that dealing with conflict and building resilience is a vital component of our leadership journey.
Finnaly we will pull it all together by formulating our very own Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership theory as output that participants can take with them.
